In Lomahasha, two young men aged 25 and 23 from Matfuntini and Mozambique were taken into custody after police found them with 15 live pistol rounds at a house in the Matfuntini area.

Big Bend officers arrested a 20-year-old Bulunga resident in connection with the murder of a 44-year-old Mpolonjeni man, who was found unconscious with a severe wound behind his ear inside the Big Bend Correctional fields. Still in Big Bend, a 45-year-old man from Mangwini was found with a homemade 12-bore shotgun and arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm.
