LONDON – Minister of Home Affairs, HRH Princess Lindiwe, represented His Majesty King Mswati III at the Harmony Summit held this week at Highgrove Gardens in the United Kingdom.
The summit, hosted by The King’s Foundation, focused on indigenous knowledge systems and the global pursuit of living in harmony with nature. The gathering reflected the environmental vision of His Majesty King Charles III, Royal Founding President of the Foundation.
Held at the royal residence of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, the event brought together traditional elders, policymakers, researchers, and global environmental actors. It was organised in collaboration with The Circular Bioeconomy Alliance and The Earth Elders.
The summit created space for participants to share practices rooted in indigenous cultures, while also pledging to pursue collaborative solutions to environmental issues. Discussions revolved around sustainable land use, intergenerational wisdom, and preserving ecological balance in the face of climate change.
Speaking during the summit, Princess Lindiwe welcomed the platform to exchange ideas on traditional ecological knowledge, noting the relevance of Eswatini’s own cultural values in advancing environmental care.
