MBABANE – “Who are you when all is gone?”
This question echoed through the Woodlands auditorium during the 2025 Men’s Mental Health Symposium, hosted by Semusa Networks under the theme, “Build Him.”
One of the most moving moments came from businessman, founder of Plant Co Pty Ltd (formerly Emfuleni), Daladi Dlamini, who delivered a raw and heartfelt testimony about loss, identity, and personal transformation.
He shared his journey of hitting rock bottom, losing his business, relationships, and reputation almost overnight.
“I didn’t know who I was without the things I owned. My identity was tied to what I had, not who I truly was,” he said.
His vulnerability struck a chord with many in the audience.
He described how public shame, betrayal, and the loss of close connections led him to a journey of self-discovery.
Even as tabloids splashed his flaws across headlines, and strangers spoke about him unaware of his presence, he chose growth over bitterness.
“I made a pact with God. I will never build a business that destroys families, encourages addiction, or harms people’s mental health,” he said.
His decision to steer clear of alcohol-related ventures is rooted in his commitment to healing and restoration, not just for himself, but for others too.
As the audience awaits the release of his upcoming book, Daladi’s testimony continues to inspire. His story is a reminder that true identity is found not in possessions or public approval, but in resilience, purpose, and healing.
