Mbabane: Sihlangu captain Banele ‘Makonose’ Dlamini has advised government to initiate what he called a ‘full lockdown’ as coronavirus cases continue to soar.

As of Monday April 20, there were 24 COVID-19 cases confirmed. Thirteen have recovered while one death has been recorded. Commanded by His Majesty King Mswati III, Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini extended the current ‘partial lockdown’ for a further three weeks, allowing less risk non-essential businesses to resume. Since the PM’s call, numbers continue to skyrocket and the senior football national team captain who is also skipper at Green Mamba took to Facebook to register his concerns. “I think it’s high time our government initiates a full lockdown, people don’t listen. They can’t stay home but the cases of are rapidly increasing. Now it’s beyond our control, we only need God to intervene and protect us,” he said before imploring EmaSwati to be safe, stay at home and frequently wash hands in hashtags.  After leaving now defunct RSSC United, ‘Makonose’ has cemented his place at both Green Mamba and Sihlangu as a trusted hard tackling defender and has already won the MTN League crown and Ingwenyama Cup for the Caleb Ngwenya-led charges.
