Mbabane- Eswatini’s agricultural sector is undergoing a significant transformation as farmers shift gears to the increasingly popular dragon fruit.

Spearheaded by Nisela Farms a prominent player in the local farming community, the farm has set its sights on the South African market, where initial interest from buyers signals a promising export opportunity.

To expedite the market entry, key stake holders including the Ministry of Agriculture’s National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO), and Model Farms highlighted the collaborative efforts required to facilitate market access for Eswatini grown-dragon fruit. The discussions were held at the Business Eswatini offices.
