Can the next prime minister live up to the expectations already set by the nation?

That is the million dollar question as Emaswati have taken upon themselves to raise areas of focus that the next prime minister has to look into. On the 23rd of October 2023 , the King publicly made a request to the nation to assist in the appointment of the next prime minister.

With the open panel created by his Majesty , MaRose Ntshangase from Mambane under the Matsanjeni North constituency did not waste any time and highlighted that it was important for the next Prime Minister to take into account investing heavily on the youth . As mentioned by this young lady, the country’s economy would grow if the youth was to be educated and encouraged to venture into business, especially since in the present economy, attaining jobs has proven to be quite the hassle. “ Majority of the population in the country is educated and have qualifications, however sources of employment are scarce,” she stated. Notably, Ntshangase demonstrated a stance that a prime minister fit for such hot seat would have to take into account such issues.

She further went on to state that , all the four regions needed a prime minister that would make it his duty to visit these regions in efforts to equip young people with entrepreneurial skills. Additionally, educate the youth on how to obtain funding which will in turn help them launch their businesses. The country exist in an era where its citizens struggle to find employment and intervening in such through training the youth will change the narrative of the surge in unemployment.

The entirety of the Panel raised the need for a PM that will be the voice and eyes of the nation. As highlighted by one of the women coming from Nhlambeni, it was quite vital for the government which will be led by the next prime minister to look into creating employment opportunities in other countries through maintained relations.
