Mbabane: Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader, Julius Malema has strongly encouraged emaSwati, mainly the Economic Freedom Fighters of Swaziland to continue fighting for political reforms in the country.

Malema made these remarks while delivering his speech when the EFF was celebrating its Eighth-Year since its establishment.

“We must extend our support to Eswatini for waging a principled struggle against a despotic King,” Malema said. He went on to say the EFF remains committed to the idea of one united Africa with no colonial borders.

“The EFF is in solidarity with the people of Eswatini and is proud of our EFF comrades in Eswatini who have waged a struggle against a despotic regime of the King,” he reiterated.

Malema said he wants to tell the EFF in Eswatini that they must continue the good fight and if they need any form of support, they must not be scared to call for that support.

He said the revolution does not have any formula. “If you want to go to the bush we are prepared to support you because this is war.”

The EFF leader went on to say the people who want to define a revolution as a parade of roses were deliberately distorting what a revolution is about.

“All of you revolutionaries, you must have it in you to adjust to the concept of murder if the need arises. We should never be scared to defend our country and our continent, with everything we have,” Malema said.

“We are very proud of your work EFF Eswatini and we will continue to give you the necessary support,” he said. Malema further encouraged emaSwati not to be scared of prison; as revolutionaries; “you must never be scared of prison.”

“We salute you and we want you to work with PUDEMO and bring about a democratic Eswatini. It is possible and does not get tired,” he said. This thing you are doing Eswatini Fighters is historic and you are the first generation, to turn the regime upside down, don’t be scared and be discouraged. You are inspiring us in South Africa and our comrades in Zimbabwe to fight any form of dictatorship because you in Eswatini, you taught us that it is possible to defeat dictatorship so do not be discouraged fellow fighters,” he said.

Malema said the empty rumors that we are providing guns to our comrades are baseless and are tendencies of a regime that have fallen out of favor with people. When the need arises, we will look at it and we promise to look at it favorably.”
