MTN iPraise top 10 finalists revealed, top five votings commence

Mbabane: MTN iPraise has revealed its top ten finalists.

From the top 10 list, the public can now vote for the top five who will perform in the virtual concert which is set to take place on July 4, 2021, on Y’ello Hub and Facebook.

This was revealed by MTN iPraise Project Manager, Tammy Dlamini. Dlamini said the public will now vote for their Top 5 artists from this Top 10 list. The Top 5 artists will perform at MTN iPraise on 4 July a concert which its line-up that is exclusively in the hands of emaSwati.

Dlamini stated that votes can be made for free on Ayoba or via SMS. Ayoba is MTN’s fastest-growing social media platform, or via SMS. He said Ayoba users can send their vote to 7888 6161 and enter their favourite Top 10 artists’ voting code.

He said those without access to Ayoba can vote via SMS using the USSD code *7768# at a cost of E1 and follow the prompts. Voters must use the voting codes to specify which artist they are voting for. He highlighted that artist’s names will no longer count as valid votes, and voting lines will close on 13 June 2021.

Destiny Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tom Lin expressed his excitement on the announcing of the top 10 artists, which he said reflects such incredible musical talent the country has. He said Destiny Group is truly honoured to be at the helm of rolling out the 2nd edition of MTN iPraise. “We look forward to putting on a truly uplifting digital concert on the evening of 4 July 2021,” he said.

Lin said to encourage public safety in light of COVID-19 a decision was made by Destiny Group and the headline sponsor MTN, to launch MTN iPraise as a digital concert this year.

Tammy Dlamini, the MTN iPraise Project Manager encouraged the public to continue supporting the MTN iPraise Top 10 voting phase as much as they supported the nomination phase, “We saw overwhelming support during the nomination phase”.

Dlamini said emaSwati displayed their support in a heart-warming way. “We would like to remind the public to please download Ayoba and to use it to submit their Top 10 votes. Every Ayoba vote not only equals two votes but each voter could also stand a chance to win prizes on this platform specifically. Interested supporters should also stay tuned to MTN iPraise social media channels and various media outlets for additional updates”. 

Gospel music enthusiasts from around the country selected the following artists to form part of the MTN iPraise 2021 Top 10.
