Speaking during the launch, the Minister of Commerce Manqoba Khumalo said through the Strategy, EIPA will enhance their ability to attract new investors while ensuring efficient and prompt facilitation of trade.

EIPA is also expected to ensure retention of existing investors, to promote Eswatini as the ideal destination for investors and the ideal investment destination for entry to Africa.

The launch comes at a time when His Majesty King Mswati III, during his Speech from the Throne last week Friday, emphasized the importance of focusing on attracting investors even during this period of restrictive COVID-19 regulations.

During the launch the minister of commerce reiterated government’s efforts and commitment to attracting new investors and assisting existing businesses for the betterment of the economy of the country.  He added that there was a great expectation on EIPA to enable Government to deliver on the Post COVID-19 Economic Recovery Plan.
