Matsapha – FNB Eswatini Chief Operating Officer Thandeka Dlamini says the bank remains committed to investing in its physical branches while expanding digital banking services to cater to customers with different banking needs.
Dlamini made the remarks following the reopening of the bank’s refurbished Matsapha Branch on October 20, 2026, after renovations that began in August.
She said the bank recognised that customers accessed banking services in different ways, making it necessary to maintain accessible branches alongside digital platforms.
“We understand that our customers engage with us in different ways, depending on their needs and circumstances. As we continue to expand and enhance our digital banking solutions, we remain equally committed to investing in our branch network to ensure that banking services remain accessible, convenient and relevant for all emaSwati,” Dlamini said.
She added that the bank’s goal was to provide customers with a seamless banking experience across its different service channels.
According to Dlamini, Matsapha is one of the bank’s high-traffic service points, serving both individual and business customers. The refurbishment was undertaken to respond to the growing customer base in and around the area.
She said the upgrade focused on improving the branch layout and internal processes to make service delivery more efficient.
The revamped branch continues to offer services such as account opening, card replacement and account maintenance. The adjacent ATM lobby also has an increased number of self-service devices for cash deposits and withdrawals.
Dlamini said the investment formed part of the bank’s wider strategy to improve its digital and physical banking capabilities as customer expectations continue to evolve.
