Ezulwini – The Ministry of Public Service has held discussions with the Joint Negotiations Forum (JNF) on the Performance Management System (PMS) and the Total Rewards Strategy.
The engagement, facilitated through the ministry’s Management Services Division (MSD), brought together the Government Negotiations Team and Public Sector Unions.
It was aimed at strengthening understanding, fostering collaboration and promoting constructive dialogue on the rollout of the two initiatives, described as central to building a modern, high-performing public service.
JNF Chairperson Victor Nxumalo told the gathering that performance management and employee rewards are complementary pillars of an effective public service.
According to Nxumalo, the Performance Management System provides a structured framework for setting expectations, measuring performance and promoting accountability, while the Total Rewards Strategy ensures that employees are recognised, supported, developed and motivated to perform at their best.
