Pigg’s peak– Police in Pigg’s Peak have launched a murder investigation after the body of a newborn baby boy was discovered in a bag at the town’s dumping site on Tuesday morning.

The infant was found on June 17, 2026, at about 8am by a 42-year-old woman from Nginamadvolo who works for the local town board.

According to information released by police, the woman was carrying out her duties at the dumping site, untying refuse bags, when she noticed a suspicious bag among the rubbish.

Curious about its contents, she opened the bag and found a shawl stained with blood. Upon further inspection, she discovered the body of a naked newborn baby boy.
