CONCO donates E105,000 for Mkhuzweni Health Centre repairs
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

MKHUZWENI – CONCO Limited has donated roofing materials valued at E105,000 to the Mkhuzweni Health Centre to repair infrastructure damaged during a severe storm late last year.

The donation, facilitated through Business Eswatini, was officially presented to Minister for Health Mduduzi Matsebula on Tuesday. The materials are designated for the rehabilitation of the health centre’s Outpatient Department (OPD), which has faced structural challenges since the storm.

Minister Matsebula stated that the contribution provides more than just infrastructure repair. He noted that the materials will restore access to essential medical services and provide a sense of renewal for the local community.

“This gesture clearly shows the critical role that the private sector continues to play in national development,” Matsebula said. “It reflects the power of public-private partnerships in ensuring accessible and quality healthcare for all emaSwati.”

Business Eswatini CEO E. Nathi Dlamini praised CONCO for its consistent track record of supporting the Ministry of Health. He pointed to the recent completion of Ward 18 at Mbabane Government Hospital as further evidence of the company’s investment in the public health sector.

Dlamini told the Minister that the business community remains committed to supporting the health and well-being of the nation through direct contributions.

The Mkhuzweni Health Centre project is part of a broader effort to repair public facilities hit by recent weather events. With the arrival of the roofing materials, work on the OPD building is expected to move forward immediately.
