Mbabane – The president of Nsingizini Hotspurs FC, Mr Derrick Shiba, has called on supporters to pack the stadium as the Shiselweni side prepares for a decisive Ingwenyama Cup Last 16 clash this Sunday.
Addressing the club’s supporters in a newsletter, popularly known as the Mgugudla family, Shiba said progression in the prestigious knockout competition remains central to the team’s ambitions for the 2025 2026 season.
“Intintile in the last 16. Our winning mindset remains aligned with 2025/26 goal in bringing the most prestigious cup in Shiselweni,” he said.
The club, founded in 1984, has enjoyed a strong run in domestic football, collecting six trophies in three and a half seasons. However, the Ingwenyama Cup still eludes them, a gap Shiba described as a driving force behind their current campaign.
“After winning six trophies in three and half seasons, the Ingwenyama Cup remains one that is missing in our trophy cabinet which makes Sunday win a non negotiable,” he said.
Beyond domestic success, the club has its sights on continental football through Confederation of African Football competitions, where it has featured over the past two seasons.
“Our main focus is playing in CAF competitions where we have been competing in the past 2 seasons. The Ingwenyama Cup offers an opportunity to be in CAF confederations where we are proud and grateful to be part of,” Shiba added.
He pledged that supporters would witness top quality football, linking the team’s aspirations to national development ideals.
“We promise 90minutes of First World football and remain students of His Majesty’s Vision.”
Shiba also appealed for strong fan turnout, referring to supporters as the “player number 12” and urging peaceful conduct at the venue.
“We respectfully, call upon player number 12 to grace and to fill up the stadium to create an electrifying atmosphere. Let’s uphold our values, breathe professionalism, and refrain from violence football will win. Intintile!”
