Mbabane – Swazi singer and songwriter Stella Jacobs has released the official music video for her latest single, Bayethe, featuring Makwakwa Thabo. The video premiered on Friday, 20 February, and was shared on her social media channels, inviting fans to watch, like, comment, share, and subscribe.
The music video was filmed by Shaka Makhanya, with wardrobe and makeup provided by Sergy. The song was produced by Hlanti-Mayne Wendlunkhulu and mixed and mastered by Ithambo. Jacobs also acknowledged contributions from Shepard Brothers, Ithambo Bon Legendary, Shawn Eternity, Peterson, and Ncoby.
Jacobs, 23, introduced her producer, saying he played a major role in creating 70 percent of her upcoming EP and appeared in the Bayethe music video. She noted that he comes from Mvutjini and praised his talent and contribution to her project.
The artist, known for her Swazi afro pop and African trap sound, is also a clothes donation campaign activist and social media influencer. She won the 2024 NACA Outstanding Female Artist award and placed among the top three performers at MTN Bushfire Firefly 2024.
Based in Mvutjini, Jacobs has built a reputation for blending genres, delivering soulful performances, and engaging audiences with powerful vocals and heartfelt lyrics.
