MANZINI – At 23, Musa Mzwakhe Ginindza, widely known as Whizzlkid Lomphofu, is showing how ambition, patience and timing can shape a young entrepreneur’s path. Known for his music and role as a youth ambassador, Whizzlkid is also making waves in Eswatini’s fashion scene through his clothing brand, De Ghost, which celebrates its second anniversary this year.

Unlike many brands that rely on flashy launches or large budgets, De Ghost grew from curiosity, consistency and belief. Based in Manzini, the brand reflects Whizzlkid’s personal journey, starting small, learning along the way and trusting the process. What began as an interest in online marketing has developed into a full-fledged fashion business with customers across the country.

Whizzlkid credits his early exposure to digital platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp and TikTok for sparking his interest in marketing. “Watching how brands promoted themselves online sparked something in me. I began to understand how visibility, content and connection could turn ideas into income,” he said. Today, De Ghost relies on social media campaigns and influencer partnerships, ensuring customers not only see the brand but feel part of it. Orders are processed efficiently with production taking between one and four days, a detail that has built trust and loyalty among buyers.

De Ghost offers a wide range of clothing including hoodies, sweaters, tracksuits, cargo pants, polo necks, T-shirts, dresses, caps, hats, leggings, shorts and vests. The variety reflects Whizzlkid’s goal of creating a brand that suits different lifestyles while maintaining a clear identity.

While his love for fashion began in 2022, launching De Ghost faced delays due to limited capital and personal challenges. For years the idea existed only in his mind. It was not until 2024 that Whizzlkid used his savings to finally bring the brand to life. Previous side hustles had failed to give him the breakthrough he sought, but they shaped his resilience.

Two years on, De Ghost’s growth is evident and support for the brand continues to rise. Whizzlkid says the recognition the brand receives still surprises many, especially friends who have followed the journey from the beginning.

“People are really shocked that the brand is now officially recognized,” he shared. “Many support it because it’s a local brand. It shows that emaSwati believe in their own. That kind of support inspires me to keep pushing and producing quality products.”
