Mbabane – The Premier League of Eswatini has postponed two MTN Premier League fixtures scheduled for this week after persistent bad weather affected playing conditions at Mhlume Stadium.
The League announced on Monday January 19 2026 that the decision affects Match 119 between Manzini Sea Birds FC and Sisonkhe FC, which was due to be played on Tuesday January 20 2026, as well as Match 117 between Ezulwini United FC and Amawele FC, set for Wednesday January 21 2026. Both matches were scheduled to take place at Mhlume Stadium.
According to the Premier League of Eswatini, the postponement followed an assessment of the prevailing weather conditions in the area, which raised concerns around the safety of players, match officials and everyone involved in the fixtures.
The League said the move was taken to protect player welfare while ensuring that matches are played under suitable conditions. A revised fixture schedule will be communicated in due course.
The Premier League of Eswatini has called on clubs, supporters, sponsors and all stakeholders to take note of the changes and thanked them for their cooperation as safety considerations take priority during the current spell of adverse weather.
