Monrovia – Ghanaian politician and Pan-African advocate Ras Mubarak held meetings in Monrovia, Liberia, on Thursday, 15 January 2026, to advance the push for a visa-free Africa by 2030. He met with the Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, Her Excellency Sara Beysolow Nyanti, and Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung Sr. to discuss accelerating the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the Protocol on Free Movement of Persons.

Nyanti described the visit as a timely reminder of Liberia’s longstanding commitment to Pan-African unity and regional cooperation. Mubarak’s team also met with Princess Eva Cooper, Director General of the Liberia National Tourism Authority, and her team. The officials expressed great enthusiasm for collaboration to promote sustainable tourism and position Liberia as a vibrant destination within a more connected Africa.

Mubarak said the engagements in Liberia show growing governmental momentum for a borderless Africa, aligning with the campaign’s message that free movement of Africans is essential to unlocking billions in tourism revenue, creating jobs, empowering youth, and strengthening continental solidarity. The Vice President of Liberia pledged full support for visa-free travel policies and stressed the urgency of Africa’s integration.

Liberia marks the 30th country visited by Mubarak’s team since the launch of the Trans Africa Tourism and Unity Campaign in August 2025. The delegation included H.E. Godwin Amonzem, Ghana’s High Commissioner to Liberia. The campaign continues to rally leaders, stakeholders, and citizens across the continent to build momentum for Visa Free Africa by 2030.
