Mbabane – The Royal Eswatini Police Service has launched a murder investigation following the death of a 53 year old man from Mbekelweni, whose body was discovered early on Thursday morning.

According to police, the man, who lived alone, was found lying at the gate of his homestead with his right foot severed. The discovery was made at about 6.50am by a neighbour who was passing through the area at the time.

Preliminary information suggests the man may have been attacked during the night. Police said the deceased appeared to have bled heavily, with no other visible injuries observed on the body at the time of discovery.
