Mbabane – A 32-year-old man, Wandile Shongwe, of Lobamba was charged with the offence of assault common.
According to the charge sheet, on Sunday he assaulted one Nicolas Mhlanga with a fist once on the face. These events occurred at Nkwalini Zone 2 area in the Hhohho region.
Shongwe pleaded guilty to a Mbabane magistrate to the charge and apologized in court to Mhlanga. Their disagreement was not shared. He was made to pay a E500 fine after his sentencing. The sentence had the option of three months imprisonment. Court documents show that he paid the fine.
