Mbabane – Lindikhaya Lungelo Ginindza, 35, of Matsapha, was charged with violating Sections 91 (1), 122 (1), and (2) of the Road Traffic Act 6 of 2007. According to the charging sheet, he was arrested on January 5, 2026, at approximately 0036 hours in Mvakwelitje, Hhohho District.
He was driving a Hyundai SUV “wrongfully and unlawfully” on the MR 19 Public Road while intoxicated with alcohol or a narcotic drug. The alcohol concentration was 0.71 mg/l, which exceeds the permitted limit of 0.38 mg/l. He pleaded guilty before a Mbabane Magistrate and requested leniency.
The court found him guilty as charged. He was fined E1 600 and given the option of 10 months jail.
