Lomahasha police have stepped up investigations into the abduction of a 27 year old man who was taken from his home at Nduma on the night of January 3, 2026.
According to the Royal Eswatini Police Service, the incident happened at about 2100 hours when a group of men forced their way into the victim’s house while he was asleep. The suspects allegedly seized him and drove him to a secluded spot near the Mbuluzi River.
Police reports state that the victim was assaulted during the ordeal before being abandoned. The kidnapping is believed to be connected to a robbery reported on January 1, 2026, in which a relative of one of the suspects was allegedly involved.
The victim’s brother raised the alarm after noticing his sibling was missing, prompting police action that later led to the man being located. He is currently receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained during the attack.
Lomahasha police officers say they are following up on all available leads and collecting evidence as efforts continue to identify and apprehend those responsible.
