MATSAPHA – The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) is investigating an armed robbery that occurred early on 03 January 2026 in the Dwaleni area. At around 3:00 AM, three masked men, armed with knives, broke into the home of a 47-year-old man while his family slept.
The robbers, who remain unidentified, targeted the bedroom and made off with valuable possessions worth an estimated E83,000. Among the stolen items were a wristwatch, an iPhone, a Samsung mobile phone, a television, E5,000 in cash, and various clothes.
The police are urging anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of the stolen goods to come forward. Those with leads are encouraged to contact Senior Superintendent Thabo Hlophe at 7606 8570, Inspector Langa at 7668 6833, or the Matsapha Police Station at 2518 7111.
