Harare – Two officers from His Majesty’s Correctional Services stood out at a six-month Management and Leadership Development Course in Corrections No. 8, held by the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service Staff College.
Chief Officer Mpumelelo Kimberly Nhleko and Sergeant Jabulisiwe Khathwane earned awards for exceptional performance, discipline, and leadership, distinguishing themselves among a competitive regional cohort of middle-management officers from Zimbabwe and Eswatini.
The MLDCC 8 programme focused on operational management, leadership development, correctional administration, rehabilitation programmes, and ethical service delivery. Participants also completed a Business Management and Entrepreneurship module in partnership with Zimbabwe Open University, gaining skills in project planning, financial management, and initiatives to support rehabilitation and income-generating programmes within correctional facilities.
The course concluded on 12 December 2025 at Chikurubi Dam View, Zimbabwe, with a graduation ceremony attended by senior officials, including HMCS Commissioner General LaMakhosini Phindile Dlamini and Deputy Commissioner General Vusi Kunene.
