Siteki Town Council hosted a breakfast meeting today with Dr. Najat Zarruok, a key figure from Morocco, who is currently attending the AAPAM Conference in Eswatini. The gathering, which also included Mr. Gordon Mbuli representing ELGA, focused on strengthening ties and exploring future collaboration.
The meeting came as part of ongoing efforts to build on the three-month learnership programme conducted between May and August last year. During this programme, Siteki’s CEO and Environmental/LED Officer received specialized training in Morocco, a step that has significantly contributed to improving service delivery, environmental management, and local economic development in Siteki.
Dr. Zarruok shared three potential areas of growth for Siteki Town Council: gaining access to global best practices, identifying funding opportunities for development, and pursuing a City-to-City Twinning initiative for long-term international collaboration.
The breakfast session concluded with the presentation of gifts to Dr. Zarruok as a token of appreciation.
