Mbabane – Two bridges in different parts of the country have overflowed following heavy rains, prompting the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) to issue a safety alert to motorists and communities.
According to the police, Nkomazi Bridge along the Sidwashini–Bhalekane gravel road, as well as the Nyakatfo–Njakeni Sihhoye Bridge, are currently flooded and unsafe for use. Officers have advised members of the public to avoid the affected areas until water levels recede.
The REPS further warned motorists to exercise extreme caution on all roads during this period of persistent rainfall, warning that fast-moving water and slippery surfaces pose a serious risk. Road users are encouraged to seek and use alternative routes to ensure their safety.
