Mbabane: Word Smith fresh from Nkambeni. Sihle Biyela, known as “3rio Tha Wordsmith” is a new poet hitting the industry by storm. Growing up, she is growing with the love of poetry, Aged 25, Sihle hails from the Nkambeni in the Hhohho region claims she is the messiah who aims to cause shake up in the industry. Growing up in Nkambeni, she did her high school at Siteki Nazarene High, then enrolled at the Southern African Nazarene University for a Primary Teachers Diploma (P.T.D) and completed 2019.

Speaking to this publication Sihle said she started writing poetry when 17 years of age and still in high school, but due to of lack proper support and guidance she said she did find a way to be on the spotlight of the industry. She said her first professional poem was titled “You are special”, was inspired by the Lords and legends of poetry the one and only William Shakespeare, and other influential rap legend, for the likes of Lil wayne, Eminem, Tupac Shakur and local talents, K.O,Duncan (Skuva) and Nadia Nakai South African rappers.


Trio tha Wordsmith has shared stage and recited poems alongside Musa Masondo, a rapper, teacher, and a Freelancing actor alongside Mfundo ‘Tricky X’ Ndzima a video graphics designer, Rapper Director and Actor. She is still not signed under any record label and still taking baby steps in learning and navigating the industry. Meanwhile she said she will be working with other poets for collaborations and music working with other poets for collaborations and music artist for features.
