Mbabane — The Ministry of Education and Training has announced that all schools in Eswatini will observe a mid-term break from 26 to 29 June 2026 during the Second Term, as part of the national academic calendar.
The 2026 school calendar, approved by Cabinet under Paper Number CPN/MOET/160/2025, was communicated to the Swaziland National Association of Teachers on 16 October 2025. The First Term will run from 20 January to 10 April, the Second Term from 5 May to 7 August, and the Third Term from 9 September to 11 December.
Principal Secretary Nanikie Mnisi said schools are expected to adhere to the calendar to maintain uniform teaching schedules, examinations, and curriculum delivery. She urged administrators and educators to use the calendar for planning and to ensure full curriculum coverage.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to working with teachers’ unions and stakeholders to maintain stability in the education system and provide quality learning throughout 2026.
