MBABANE – Excitement is in the air as early bird tickets for South African hip-hop star Nasty C’s Ivyson Tour have officially sold out ahead of the highly anticipated show.
Nasty C’s team has been collaborating with local organisers for several months to bring the Ivyson experience to life. The concept follows a growing trend among international artists, particularly in Europe, who host tours designed to give back to their fans and appreciate the promoters who consistently support them.
In a recent interview with ZimBeliefbuzz, a Zimbabwean entertainment and lifestyle publication, Nasty C revealed that the tour was inspired by the overwhelming love and support he continues to receive across the African continent.
“I get booked at shows across Africa all the time, but now it’s time to bring the full Ivyson experience to the continent. The Ivyson Tour is my baby,” he said.
The seventh edition of the Ivyson Tour was officially launched earlier this year, with Nasty C inviting countries to express interest in hosting him.
“This is proof of the power of visualisation,” he explained. “Three months ago, I created an Ivyson Tour poster using AI and asked my fans to request Nasty C to come to the kingdom. My fans, friends, and I worked hard to make it happen. It felt like doing the voting stage of Firefly all over again. I owe this to my fans for their loyalty and belief that it was possible.”
Unlike his regular performances, Nasty C’s Ivyson Tour sets feature songs that are not necessarily his biggest singles, but those that hold personal meaning and resonate deeply with fans. The fan-driven format represents a fresh and bold direction for the artist.
Eswatini is among the countries confirmed to host the tour, which kicked off on July 11.
Former Upscale Live artist Sean Cast HQ has also been announced as part of the line-up. Sharing his excitement, he encouraged fans to grab their tickets while they still can.
“I am so excited to be part of this line-up. All roads lead to the Ivyson Tour this Friday. Get your tickets today,” he said.
Joining him on stage will be Ace Julz, winner of the MTN Bushfire Firefly competition, who expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for being included.
“It means a lot to me. I’m proud to say I achieved this without management. I owe this to my fans and supporters,” Ace Julz shared.
Earlier this year, international artists Dej Loaf and Jacquees embarked on similar tours across 20 states in the United States, aiming to connect more personally with their audiences and strengthen their brands.
The Ivyson Tour will take place at Mdzimba View Shisanyama this Friday, promising an unforgettable musical experience for fans in Eswatini.
