Mbabane: Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi has announced that the infections toll has increased to 795 as 14 new cases confirmed on Monday.
Nkosi revealed that the ministry received 238 results of which the 14 results tested positive. Nkosi said up to date there are 390 active cases as 380 patients have recovered from the coronavirus disease.
Manzini remains the epicenter of the pandemic in the country as 434 of the total cases are from Manzini region. Hhohho region comes second with 199 cases, 83 cases are from Lubombo region and 79 are from Shiselweni Region.
Nkosi encouraged people with pre-existing illnesses to fully comply to health care advices and treatment as per guided by healthcare workers. Nkosi said this is important in regard to the fact that most of the reported deaths are people who had underlying health issues like diabetes mellitus, hypertension and heart problems.
