Johannesburg – Jetour has officially released pricing details for its new T1 and T2 sport utility vehicles, marking their market debut this October. Both models are powered by the same turbocharged engines and offer buyers the choice between front-wheel and all-wheel drive options.

The two SUVs were first confirmed for the South African market at Jetour’s Travel Worldwide Global Conference held in Fuzhou, China, last year. They are positioned above the Dashing and X70 Plus models, making them the brand’s new flagships.

The Jetour T1, which first went on sale in China in 2024, rides on a unibody platform. It measures 4 705 mm long, 1 967 mm wide, and 1 843 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2 810 mm. The compact SUV offers 200 mm of ground clearance and can tow up to 1 600 kg.

The T1 range includes four variants powered by two engines. The entry-level Edge and Aspire models use a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 125kW and 270Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the front wheels. The higher-spec Xplora and Odyssey variants feature a 2.0-litre turbo engine delivering 180kW and 375Nm, coupled with an all-wheel drive system.

Jetour’s larger and more rugged T2, known as the Traveller in China, has been built in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover. Despite its Defender-inspired design, the T2 is entirely Jetour’s creation. It sits on a unibody frame and measures 4 785 mm in length, 2 006 mm in width, and 1 800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2 800 mm. The SUV offers a ground clearance of 220 mm and includes both front and rear locking differentials on the all-wheel drive models.

Like the T1, the T2 features the same engine and gearbox options, but its base model starts with the Aspire trim instead of the Edge.
