Mbabane – The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade, in partnership with the Small Enterprises Development Company, has rescheduled the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards National Gala Dinner to Friday, 7 November 2025. The event was initially planned for Wednesday, 22 October 2025.
The EYA celebrates Liswati innovators and business leaders driving the country’s economic growth. Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade described the gala as part of Eswatini’s effort to nurture entrepreneurial talent and realise the vision of producing the nation’s first billionaire business.
The awards programme identifies excellence and innovation across the country, uncovering entrepreneurs and products with potential to compete internationally, including at the World Expo, in Taiwan, and within the AfCFTA market. The initiative aligns with Eswatini’s MSME Policy 2024 to 2029, which promotes an entrepreneurial culture and provides crucial market exposure.
The Ministry and SEDCO are calling on stakeholders, investors, financial institutions, and development partners to update their calendars and confirm attendance. First National Bank Eswatini, as title sponsor, has contributed over E1.7 million towards the grand prize and regional awards.
Officials said the rescheduling ensures a grander celebration of Eswatini’s entrepreneurial spirit and continued strengthening of public-private partnerships.
