Mbabane – The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) has reported several arrests across the country following crimes committed between 29 August and 2 September 2025.
At Tshaneni, a 45-year-old man from Mhlume’s Nhlangani compound was taken into custody after a Bell tractor engine block worth E75,000 was stolen from the Mhlume RES Workshop. The equipment was recovered on 31 August at Mpofu.
In Manzini, a 49-year-old man from Fairview and a 22-year-old from Lidwala were charged in connection with the kidnapping of a 19-year-old from Ngwane Park. The teenager was allegedly forced into a vehicle by six men on 27 August and later assaulted in Fairview North.
Another incident in Tshaneni saw a 35-year-old man from Ngojeni arrested after a 29-year-old from Talukatini was stomped on the chest and stomach during the early hours of 30 August. The victim later died from the injuries.
Police in Mbabane arrested two men aged 30 and 27 from Mangwaneni following the death of a 27-year-old from eGelekeceni. The victim was found with multiple stab wounds in a bushy area in Mangwaneni on the morning of 30 August.
In Pigg’s Peak, a 42-year-old man from Mvuma was charged after a 39-year-old man died on 31 August while being transported to Pigg’s Peak Government Hospital. The victim had been assaulted at Mvuma.
Meanwhile in Nhlangano, police arrested a 19-year-old from Mashekesheni for arson after a two-room house was set ablaze on 31 August. Property worth E111,600 was destroyed in the fire.
