COVID-19: Eswatini records Three (3) New Recoveries, 1 New Case

Mbabane: The total number of recoveries has increased to 201 in Eswatini and the total number of confirmed cases stands at 295.

Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi made this announcement on Wednesday when giving update on COVID-19 response in Eswatini.

Nkosi said the ministry received 100 results on this date of which 99 came out negative while only 1 tested positive. The new case is a 34 year-old female from the Hhohho Region who presented mild symptoms.

According to the Minister’s statement there are 44 patients who have been admitted at the hospital while there 45 who are being treated from home. Total number of deaths stands at three (3).

The recovery rate in Eswatini has increased to 68. 1%percent. Nkosi said the increase in the recovery numbers is very encouraging.

Nkosi lauded all frontline healthcare workers have been working tirelessly in treating infected patients in the country. Nkosi also appreciated law enforcement officials who have been assisting the ministry in curbing the spread of the coronavirus in the kingdom as Police have been conducting screening for temperatures during roadblocks that were all over the country.
