Land Rover has confirmed that only 60 units of the new Defender 110 Trophy Edition will be available in South Africa, giving adventurers a rare opportunity to own a special edition inspired by the brand’s long legacy of exploration.
The new model marks Defender’s return to global adventure challenge events and comes fitted with a curated range of expedition accessories designed to transform the SUV into a capable off-road companion.
Available in two heritage colours, Deep Sandglow Yellow and Keswick Green, the Trophy Edition pays homage to the vehicles used in historic international trophy-style events. The colours are complemented by a contrasting gloss black finish on the bonnet, brake calipers, rear recovery eyes and lower bodyside. Trophy decals and exclusive badging distinguish the model further, with the option of a Matte Protective Film for added ruggedness.
Inside, the special edition features Ebony Windsor Leather seats, illuminated Trophy tread plates and a cross-car beam finished in the same colour as the exterior. The detailing is completed with laser-etched endcaps carrying Trophy branding.
For off-road expeditions, the SUV comes with a range of equipment as standard. These include mud flaps, a raised air intake, black wheel arch protection, scuff plates, an expedition roof rack, a deployable roof ladder, and a gloss black side-mounted gear carrier. Its 20-inch gloss black alloys are fitted with all-terrain tyres for maximum grip.
Priced at R2 227 800, the Defender 110 Trophy Edition combines luxury and utility in a package aimed at serious adventurers and collectors alike.
The special edition also draws inspiration from the new Defender Trophy competition, which challenges participants with physical and mental tasks in national finals leading up to a global showdown in 2026, hosted in partnership with conservation organisation Tusk.
