Mbabane – The Center for Financial Inclusion (CFI), has successfully established a fully functional poultry cluster in the Shiselweni region, marking a major milestone in its efforts to support smallholder poultry farmers.
CFI, implementing the Financial Inclusion and Cluster Development (FINCLUDE) Project is already starting to see tangible benefits, with farmers securing market contracts with major retailers such as Pick n Pay, Mashayinkonjane butchery, and other major outlets still on the pipeline.
The initiative aims to strengthen the poultry value chain by linking producers directly with reliable buyers, ensuring better income stability and long-term growth opportunities for farmers.
As part of this ongoing effort, cluster members yesterday met with key players in the poultry value chain to identify challenges and develop collaborative solutions to boost the sector’s sustainability.
Discussions focused on market access, production capacity, and quality standards, with all stakeholders committed to driving inclusive and lasting development within Eswatini’s poultry industry.
