Mbabane – The Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration Commission (CMAC) has announced a three-day public training programme on collective bargaining and negotiation skills, which will be held from August 19 to 21, 2025 at Happy Valley Hotel, Ezulwini.
The programme will run daily from 08:30 to 16:30 and is open to social partners, labour and employers’ organisations, employment relations specialists, human resource practitioners, union and staff association officials, shop stewards, employees, and other interested organisations.
The training fee is set at E4,200 and covers a bundle of legislation, course fees, certificate of attendance, and refreshments.
According to CMAC, the course is designed to enhance capabilities in industrial relations and workplace negotiations. It will focus on the principles and practices of collective bargaining, recognition and de-recognition of trade unions or staff associations, as well as the roles and responsibilities of management and employee representatives.
Participants will also be trained on the distinctions between negotiation and consultation.The programme further aims to equip participants with practical negotiation strategies and improve their ability to interpret and apply collective and recognition agreements.
