Mbabane – In a bold step toward financial inclusion and agricultural empowerment, the Center for Financial Inclusion (CFI) is clearing up common misconceptions that often discourage smallholder producers and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from seeking support.
Through its FINCLUDE program, CFI is breaking down myths and offering practical solutions to help people grow their businesses.
Many promising entrepreneurs believe that financing is only for large businesses, or that they need a lot of money to qualify. CFI’s new Myth Buster campaign sets the record straight and reinforces its commitment to grassroots development.
“Whether you farm half a hectare or run a small shop, if you have the passion and a solid plan, we want to see you grow,” the campaign explains.
CFI highlights that eligibility for FINCLUDE is not based on how much money someone has, but on having a viable idea, being committed, and preparing the necessary documents. The program supports smallholders and MSMEs not only with financing, but also with training in financial literacy, agribusiness, and climate-smart practices to help ensure long-term success.
The campaign also corrects the false idea that FINCLUDE funding is free money. It is a loan with clear repayment terms, designed so that more people can benefit in the future.
Another important myth addressed is that once you receive financing, the journey ends. CFI strongly disagrees. “Financing is just the beginning. We walk the journey with you,” said a CFI spokesperson.
Through this campaign, CFI hopes to inspire more people to seek support and grow their businesses. With the right information and guidance, anyone with a good idea can succeed.
