Mbabane: World Health Organization (WHO) has come to reach common grounds with Madagascar regarding COVID-Organics (CVO).

Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina said on Wednesday WHO will sign a confidentiality clause on the formulation of COVID-Organics (CVO). Rajoelina took this to his tweets revealing that he had been in contact with the WHO Director General Tendros Adhanom Ghebreyesus discussing matters regarding the Madagascan remedy for COVID-19.

Rajoelina said WHO will support clinical observation processes of COVID Organics in Africa. His comment comes after WHO said is in contact with Rajoelina regarding the herbal remedy. WHO have come to communication with Rajoelina after he slammed the international health body for not endorsing CVO.

Director General Tendros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in response to Rajoelina tweets said they had a good call with President Rajoelina about the COVID-19 situation in his country. Dr Tendros said the pair discussed on how to work together on therapeutic research and development. “Solidarity is key in fighting the pandemic and keeping the world safe.”said Dr Tendros.

In spite of not being approved by WHO many African countries have been ordering consignment for the controversial homegrown COVID-19 cure bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus amongst their citizens. Countries like Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Senegal, Chad, Equatorial Guinea to name but a few. President Rajoelina said the herbal remedy will be imported to Haiti as well.

The COVID-Organics was launched in April in Madagascar just when the world is running round seeking for any possible cure for the pandemic that has been plaguing the globe. Madagascar President said CVO will work as a cure and vaccine for the coronavirus. He said the controversial homegrown herbal cure is safe even for children to drink.
