MAPUTO – Mozambique President Daniel Chapo yesterday announced the appointment of four senior officials to key national positions, marking what he described as a continuation of service to the nation.
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony held on 12 August, Chapo named Manuel Rodrigues as the new Secretary of State in Sofala Province, while Luísa Meque was appointed President of the National Institute of Disaster Management (INGD). Gabriel Monteiro will serve as Vice-President of the INGD, and Ericino de Salema takes over as Director of the Institutional Communications Office in the Presidency of the Republic.
The president said the appointments recognised the dedication and professional record of the appointees, who are expected to deliver tangible results in their new roles. He urged them to use their skills and experience to serve the people and contribute to the country’s development.
