MBABANE – Renown South African desiger, Thula Sindi, has shared that he would showcase at least four designs by Eswatini designers from his first visit in the country for the Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival.
Sindi told Independent News that clothing from “the four designs will be available at Africa Rise in the next 30 days which are quite ideal for the store”, bringing greater recognition to this cultural and artistic expression.
Known for his powerful voice and commitment to African heritage,Thula Sindi’s aim is to put Eswatini talent on the map and further highlight Eswatini’s rich traditions and craftsmanship on a larger platform, celebrating the nation’s cultural identity and promoting it to a broader audience.
Thula Sindi who last week graced stage at Luju Festival runway show. His multi-brand concept store and initiative, has helped bring African designs to global retail spaces, fashion, runway and international buyers. Now, he is expanding his focus to the talented creatives of Eswatini.
The work of Sindi speaks for itself. Last weekend, Inkhosikati LaMotsa was spotted wearing one of his works.
“It really a wonderful story to see our people in leadership buying our products and just doing it with such ease and wearing it so beautifully and representing us as a region,” he said.
