MAPUTO – The Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) took its flagship events calendar across the border yesterday, hosting a promotional activation at Hotel Cardoso in Mozambique’s capital.
The activation aimed to showcase Eswatini’s major cultural and lifestyle events to the Mozambican market ahead of a packed events season. These include the Umhlanga Reed Dance, Swazi Rally, Border to Border Cycling Tour, Hipnotik Festival, and the Mlawula Camp Fire Festival, among others.
Speaking at the event, Eswatini’s Ambassador to Mozambique, Mlondi Dlamini, said initiatives such as the cross-border activation and the broader Triland collaboration were about transforming regional cooperation into practical opportunities for people on both sides.

Also present were tourism operators from both countries, with Mozambican tour operators and media joining their Eswatini counterparts for the launch.
The ETA was represented by Acting Head of Marketing, Chunky Mdluli-Dlamini. Presentations were delivered by organisers of key events, including Swazi Rally, Hipnotik Festival, Makoti Eswatini, and the Border to Border Cycling Tour. Mozambique’s national tourism authority, INATUR, also participated in the engagement.
