MANZINI – Mbabane Highlanders has announced its new brand identity, the Mbabane Highlanders AM, as the South African businesswoman Shawn “MaMkhize” Mkhize takes over.
The announcement was made on Saturday during a media briefing held at Ocean Cuisine, Riverstone Mall in Manzini. There was also an update in the Facebook page, sparking comments.

The club introduced Mkhize as its new club president. She is the first woman to head the team in its history.
Mkhize, previously presided at the Durban-based Royal AM in South Africa’s Premier Soccer League, was present.
She was accompanied by her son, Andile Mpisane, who also held a prominent role at Royal AM. Both are expected to play a key role in restructuring and modernizing Highlanders’ operations, it was revealed.
Highlanders rebranded with a refreshed logo backed by a strategic vision aimed at aligning the club with professional football standards in the region.
The “AM” in the name reflects the Mkhize-Mpisane partnership, echoing their involvement in Royal AM.
Affectionately known as The Bull, Mbabane Highlanders is one of the country’s most supported football teams, boasting a rich legacy and passionate fan base.
