MBABANE – Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has sent a message of condolence to families grieving the recent killings of children across the country, some of whom were reportedly kidnapped before being murdered.
The Prime Minister broke his silence through a statement posted on his official Facebook page over the weekend, where he addressed the rising public concern following the gruesome discoveries made in various parts of Eswatini.
Dlamini said government and law enforcement are working around the clock to investigate the cases and track down those responsible. While police investigations are ongoing, no suspects have been publicly named.
The country has been shaken by multiple reports of missing children, some of whom were later found dead under suspicious circumstances. Though full details have not been released, parents in communities such as Matsapha, Nhlangano and the outskirts of Mbabane have raised alarms over the safety of their children.
Dlamini appealed to emaSwati to remain vigilant and report any suspicious individuals or activities to the nearest police station without hesitation.
“We share in the pain and grief of the affected families,” he said. “Justice must prevail, and the safety of our children must be restored.”
He cautioned the public against taking the law into their own hands, stating that some suspects might possess crucial information that could lead authorities to those behind the attacks.
The Prime Minister said updates will be provided as investigations progress.
