Mbabane: He has reassured his office’s support to the police service.
That is Prime Minister Cleopas Sipho Dlamini who says his office is fully committed to ensuring that the Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) remains ‘on track in serving the nation with the required diligence and commitment’.
The premier, who is also Minister of Police, has been speaking at the REPS’ Annual Prayer Service in Matsapha.
The PM said, “This is a key performance area that as Minister, I am pledging my full support as I am aware of the expectations of the nation on its Police Service, especially a time when issues of safety & security are increasingly becoming of critical importance.”
He continued, “His Majesty’s Government is well pleased by the tireless efforts of the Police Service in maintaining peace in the country. Government pledges full support to the organization and all its initiatives to enhance the country’s safety and security frameworks.”
The National Commissioner of Police William Dlamini said, “Today’s occasion affords us a platform as a Police Service to solicit prayers from the Church and the nation at large that God intervenes in our policing endeavors and also give us success in executing the 2022/23 policing action plans.”
The service was held under the theme, ‘Looking unto God our helper’ (Psalms 121;1-2) with Dr. Rev. N. Mamba as guest preacher.
