MBABANE – South African DJ and entrepreneur DJ Zinhle is celebrating a major breakthrough for her latest musical project, Nayvee’s Prayer, after the song climbed to the top of major South African music charts.
The track, performed by DJ Zinhle, her signee Nayvee Womculo and Young Stunna, has reached the number one position on Spotify’s Top 50 South Africa and Apple Music’s South Africa chart, marking a significant milestone for the rising Nayvee.
The song, which was officially released on September 25, has been building momentum since snippets began circulating online, with listeners responding to its themes of patience, faith, perseverance and personal progress.
Taking to her social media platforms, DJ Zinhle expressed her excitement over the response, saying the song was number one on several platforms but emphasising that its greatest achievement was being embraced by listeners.
“#NayveesPrayer is No. 1 on so many platforms, but most importantly, in your hearts,” she wrote.
She congratulated Nayvee Womculo on what she described as an “incredible achievement”, adding that the milestone was only the beginning of his journey.
The success of Nayvee’s Prayer carries particular significance for Nayvee, as DJ Zinhle previously revealed that it was the first song he recorded after moving into the ERA House. The move represented a new chapter in his development as an artist and producer, making the success of the record an important moment in his career.
The collaboration also brings together established and emerging talent. Young Stunna features on the song, while DJ Zinhle continues to use her platform to develop Nayvee and other emerging creatives.
DJ Zinhle also used her latest message to acknowledge the wider team behind the record, including HOODSENSEII, The Game Changers SA, SSC and Black Natives.
She thanked HOODSENSEII for contributing his talent to the project and described the team’s collective achievement as a moment they could all celebrate.
The DJ also singled out Thabiet Amardien, whom she described as a visionary, while praising Euginia Green Lu, the manager, for her work behind the scenes.
Reflecting on the journey, DJ Zinhle thanked Yoann Chap and Africori for their support, recalling that she had met with them earlier in the year to share her vision for the young artists.
“Earlier this year I met with you to tell you about my vision for the boys. Look at us now,” she said.
Nayvee has been steadily building his catalogue throughout 2026, with appearances on several releases, including Uthando, Ezothando and Njengemali. His growing association with DJ Zinhle has also seen him feature in projects connected to her wider musical vision.
The success of Nayvee’s Prayer therefore represents more than another charting single. It is a major step in DJ Zinhle’s efforts to develop emerging talent while positioning Nayvee alongside some of South Africa’s established names.
With the song now sitting at the top of major streaming charts, DJ Zinhle has made it clear that the team is not slowing down.
“We will stay humble & work harder,” she said, thanking fans and everyone who has supported the journey.
