MALKERNS – The Eswatini Kota Festival has raised the bar once again with the announcement of Vusi Nova as the latest major addition to its star-studded line-up.
Vusi Nova, real name Vusimuzi Nongxa, is set to take the stage at Malkerns Country Club on 24 October 2026, adding his distinctive vocals and emotionally driven sound to what is shaping up to be one of the Kingdom’s biggest entertainment events of the year.
His addition comes at a time when demand for tickets is already gaining momentum. Organisers have confirmed that early bird tickets are officially sold out, while Phase One tickets are already 65 per cent sold out, signalling strong interest ahead of the festival.
Organisers announced Vusi Nova’s inclusion with excitement, declaring that “Eswatini will be a movie” as anticipation builds around the festival.
Vusi Nova professional journey began with the release of his debut album Ndimfumene in 2009. Although the project did not achieve the success he had hoped for, Nova continued developing his craft and eventually found his breakthrough with his 2013 remake of Etta James’ classic “I’d Rather Go Blind.” The song helped introduce his soulful voice to a much wider audience.
Nova’s music has become known for its powerful combination of Afro-soul, R&B and Afro-pop, with his deeply personal lyrics often drawing from love, heartbreak and life experiences. He has previously described music as his calling and an outlet through which he communicates his experiences.
The singer has also demonstrated his versatility by experimenting with different sounds. He introduced his alter ego Snova, through which he explored amapiano and a more energetic, street-oriented musical identity.
His arrival in Eswatini adds another layer to an already impressive festival programme featuring Ringo Madlingozi, Amanda Black, eMtee, Young Stunna, Mlindo The Vocalist, MÖRDA, Aymos, Xowla, Young Zesh and Supta Spokza, among others.
Entertainment personality Somizi has also confirmed his appearance at the festival, further increasing anticipation.
The Kota Festival will combine music with food, culture, entrepreneurship and tourism, bringing the popular South African Kota Festival experience to Eswatini.
With early bird tickets already sold out and Phase One tickets 65 per cent gone, organisers are encouraging those planning to attend to secure their tickets before the next phase begins.
