Mbadlane – A 25-year-old woman from Mbadlane has been convicted and fined E9,000 after she published a man’s image and personal information on social media without his consent, in a case that came before the Manzini Magistrate’s Court on April 10, 2026.
The woman faced charges under the Computer Crime and Cyber Crime Act 6 of 2022, which criminalises the unauthorised sharing of personal information online. The court handed down a sentence of two years imprisonment with the option to pay the fine, and the woman settled the amount.
The case was opened on April 8, 2026, with the woman arrested on the same day. Her actions were found to have exposed the male victim to cyberbullying through the unlawful publication of his image and information on social media.
