MBABANE – Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Stanley Dlamini has announced that the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture has partnered with Divine Artist Drama Lab to bring acting classes to all four regions.

During the unveiling of the partnership between the two organizations, CEO Stanley Dlamini mentioned that the alliance aims to enhance community engagement through performing arts, education, and cultural exploration. He also highlighted that during a summit held earlier this year by Arts and Culture, several declarations were made, including establishing filmmaking and acting as one of the most powerful industries. These sectors are significant pillars of economic growth, as demonstrated by other countries.

Talent needs to be harnessed to ensure the younger generation can establish themselves. Through this partnership, individuals who wish to pursue acting will be trained by Dzeli, the Director of Divine Artist Drama Lab, who has received formal training in arts and production.

In an interview, Dzeli said the partnership with Arts and Culture will help continue their ongoing project to ensure every young talented artist has the opportunity to learn and grow in the film and acting industry. “We have already started; as we speak, we have 20 aspiring actors in Mbabane receiving the support needed to prepare them for the industry.” The plan is to expand to all four regions to ensure everyone has access to learning opportunities in the film sector so that no potential talent is left behind.

Dzeli also highlighted that she was given an opportunity by a key figure in South Africa to further her acting training, acquire more skills, and return to mentor other aspiring actors. Arts and Culture will support her with everything needed, and the internship program will last two months. In her words, “I am really looking forward to this internship. It’s a great opportunity to learn more so that I can come back home and share my knowledge with others.”
