3.Gugu Mahlindza- Commissioner Customs and Exercise
( SMART BORDER)
What are some of the benefits
-To minimize waiting times at border without compromising standards in the customs space,we are looking at a single declaration instrument.
When goods are coming into the country they should be automatically be populated in to the importing country.
We also want to intergrate all the declaration agencies.
Can we do this alone?NO.
We have partnered with South Africa in implementing the Single Declaration process.
There will be a no stop for a compliant client.

4.Mthundzi Sakhamuzi Head of Business Strategy Research and Statistics
(Transformed Declaration)
Imagine doing business and the system is doing all declarations on your behalf and month-end you get a statement to approve.
This as well helps on the part of throwing penalties through the window.
The is tender out for getting the best technology to carryout this mandate..
